The National Association of Charitable Gift Planners’ (CGP) The Journal of Gift Planning is a leading journal for charitable gift planners, fundraisers, and planned giving professionals. With a thousands-strong community, CGP is uniquely positioned within the field of charitable giving to continue serving as both a professional hub and trusted source for industry-leading programming, continuing education materials, research, and advocacy information. For more than three decades, CGP has provided resources to improve the practice of philanthropic planning and increase the impact of gift planning professionals and charitable organizations.
Through The Journal, charitable gift planners and donor advisors share innovations, apply best practices and build skills and confidence. The Journal publishes new content online on a quarterly schedule, including articles, tools, reviews and opinions for charitable gift planners at all experience levels. The Journal also connects readers to research in fields of interest, including philanthropy, economics and behavioral economics, psychology, gerontology and many others. Journal content is curated and reviewed by an editorial committee that understands the interests and challenges of our readers. Journal production is managed by staff of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.
Readership
The majority of The Journal’s readers work in the nonprofit sector as fundraisers who develop major and planned gifts or as managers of development programs. Readership also includes allied professionals in the sector, including advisors, consultants, and legal counsel.
The Journal is made available as a member benefit to members of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners. Non-members may access The Journal via paid subscription.
